We offer a network of leading faculty, entrepreneurial local experts, specialist guest lecturers, field workshops and seminars. We recruit partner institutions, and offer leadership in field workshops and seminars.
Housing and accommodation for students and programme instructors for the duration of the programme. Student housing includes Wi-Fi, kitchen facilities for groups of 6 students with bedrooms with twin beds. For large groups we offer accommodation outside the campus in the local village of Montespertoli.
We offer transportation, to and from Peretola International Airport in Florence and transportation during the programme for field trips.
Food is prepared by the students in self catered accomodation, using kitchen facilities encouraging local, seasonal consumption from the local farmers markets adjacent to the campus or the vegetable garden on the premises. Group meals can be provided in the enoteca and bagged lunches can also be arranged for field trip excursions.
Classroom and office space where lectures, seminars, workshops and other programme activities occur. Castello Sonnino also offers office space and Wi-Fi where programme instructors can complete administrative work.
For semester programme Internships can be arranged through direct employment on the estate in the working winery, vineyards, olive groves, enoteca, vegetable garden and historical archive and library or through our vast network of community contacts.
24 hour Pastoral care and safety management is provided to students during their lodging. Transport to hospital will be available and staff members are first aid/CPR trained.
